2. Three Ways to Quit an Application:
Make sure that you know the difference between 'closing a window' and quitting an application, too.
a. Command-Q b. Click on the NAME of the Applicationthat displays next to the Black Apple (top left of Menu Bar) and go all the way to the bottom to find Quit application name.
c. Hold down your mouse on the name of the application ON THE DOCK that you want to Quit, and you will get an option to Quit that application.
Please pay attention to the difference between 'closing a window' of an application and QUITTING that application. For example, if I have Word open and close the window displaying a document (clicking on the red button in the top left corner), I HAVE NOT Quit Word. I have just closed the open window.

a) Naming a Document:
keep it short and sweet
NO capital letters
NO spaces
make it memorable
b) Saving a Document:
Put the document on your Desktop and drag it into your Document Folder on the dock or in your student "Users" volume.
